What’s The Good Mood Studio?

good mood (adjective, noun) describing high quality, pleasant or enjoyable emotional state of mind or feeling.

studio (noun) a place for the study of an art.

The Good Mood Studio is a private destination for women curious and invested in building a life you love.

I’ve been wanting to create a place where we can explore topics with more meaningful depth and nuance. No algorithm. No scrolling. No excessive noise. A place where life and progress are viewed as an ongoing art, not a destination to reach or tidy list to check off.

A space where science based strategies mingle with my own personal process, musings, stories and advice.

While the world feels like a loudspeaker with constant chatter, this is an invitation to grab a bubbly water and sit down on a comfy couch by the fire and absorb ideas, discoveries, and the latest research with ease.

You’ll find psychology & therapy concepts you’re interested in broken down and explained in an accessible way, of course. (I am a psychologist after all; I deeply love these topics).

But you’ll also find advice and poetry, guidance and metaphors, mental health supporting foods/recipes and encouragement, and constant reminders that life is messy but we are resilient.

The core belief being that we always have agency over our happiness and mood.

We are on a quest towards the good, and this often includes plenty of charged feelings and challenges. Those are welcome here too, as is the full human experience.

What can I expect? Who are you?

The Good Mood Studio is designed to serve two purposes:

1) provide accessible tools and concepts that can lift your mood and help you thrive in your life and relationships

&

2) share critical exploration of topics such as mental health, motherhood, self-development, and media from my personal lens. Not just as a psychologist, but as a woman, wife and mother moving through these seasons and obstacles as well.

My name is Dr. Catherine Schmidt, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience helping people create lives they love.

The last few years have been spent discussing strategies on instagram to help women decrease worry, unlock joy and find relief from anxiety. However the online world has slowly become a place where opening up intimately feels a bit daunting (for me anyways!), and I wish to contribute in a more meaningful and personal way.

Inside you can expect to find exclusive long-form written content, exclusive audio content, community only Q&A’s, and I will be inviting some of my incredibly talented colleagues/ friends to join us and share jewels from their expertise.

Crafting and building goodness in your life is an art, hence the name of this this corner of the internet. Welcome! I’m so pleased you’re here.

x Catherine
